From Popular Swing Jazz and Romantic Ballads to New Orleans Classics
Welcome to the Official Steve Tucker All Star Jazz Band Website. The All Stars are one of the top South West function and festival traditional swing jazz bands. As befits the busy schedule of a successful working jazz and blues band, the gig list includes all kinds of bookings, from wedding receptions to garden parties, from dinner dances to corporate promotions, and summer balls to riverboat jazz cruises.
Steve launched the jazz band in North Devon (UK) eight years ago, basing the sound on the ever popular classic songs and show tunes of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The Steve Tucker All Stars have had great popularity around Devon and have benefited from good CD airplay from the BBC in particular, whilst newspapers and magazines have generously acknowledged the band's energy, enthusiasm and performance.

2009 Bude Jazz Festival was another great success. Steve and the All Stars
were asked back by popular demand after a hugely successful visit last year
with the Dancers and Jazzers. The Band were sharing top billing with Red
Stripe, The Jive Aces, Hot Banana, Tony Oreshko, Jeremy Huggett to mention
a few, and great to see, hear and meet again some of the guys that helped
the band on its way.
A big thankyou to all the people who turned up and watched the band perform
on the main stage on Sunday the 30th of August. Pictures are now up on the
Bude Festival Gallery section of this website (see link below). Also a
thankyou to our dancers who are always fabulous to watch and play with.

The 12th of September saw the All Stars playing at Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel, North Devon. It was a promotional evening for Philip Milton as he campaigns for Parliament. A well attended open air event which ended up with the band playing an outside set on the stage then acoustically in the hotel as the weather changed, not many bands could have
done this. The evening was a huge success raising over £4,000.
On the 26th of September we were also fundraising for E.L.F. (Exeter
Leukaemia Fund) at Hatherleigh Community Centre, Devon - A good positive
promotion for the Exeter Devon charity. Rupert Lascelles instigated the idea
and the day and evening were a great success. Performances from the
Hatherleigh Players and Friends took the local show, and we weren't bad
either. Next year's Leukaemia fundraising event will be on 17th September 2010
